Moscow Exchange says to resume evening stock trading in Sep

MOSCOW, Aug 25 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Exchange plans to resume evening session on the stock market in September, the most liquid instruments will be traded, Boris Blokhin, director of the bourse’s stock market department, told reporters on Thursday.

“We are planning to launch an evening session in September. The trading scheme will be the same as before: the most liquid instruments will be traded, first of all, shares from the MOEX Russia Index,” he said.

At present, the stock trading session runs from 10.00 a.m. till 18:50 p.m. Moscow time. Before the market’s plunge of February 24, the bourse had two more stock trading sessions: the morning one from 6.50 a.m. till 9.50 a.m. Moscow time and the evening one from 19.00 p.m. till 23.50 p.m. Moscow time.
